Getting here

An easy drive to the Kope mountain resort on Pohorje.

From Ljubljana

  1. 1.Motorway towards Maribor → exit Arja vas → Velenje → Mislinja.
  2. 2.Drive through Mislinja and continue to the village of Šmartno pri Slovenj Gradcu.
  3. 3.At the junction in Šmartno pri Slovenj Gradcu, follow the Kope signpost and take the first exit.
  4. 4.Continue through the village of Šmartno and follow the narrow road that climbs towards a small wood.
  5. 5.At the top of the rise, turn right (KOPE signpost) and follow this road for another 13 kilometres – you have arrived at Kope!

From Maribor

  1. 1.From Maribor, continue to the town of Dravograd (approx. 60 km).
  2. 2.In Dravograd, follow the signs for Slovenj Gradec.
  3. 3.Just after the Slovenj Gradec town sign you'll find the signpost for KOPE (on the left).
  4. 4.Follow the priority road for another 15 kilometres or so – you have arrived at Kope!
